Yes not often seen, a wonderful vintage look that compliments most any kilt I would think.

As far as other accessories, my mind's-eye sees a nice vintage-looking brown sporran being worn with it, maybe something like this

    Thanks Richard !

I agree on the sporrans , lovely examples . Especially # 16 and 17 , I would love to have Artificer custom make one these some day .

In the meantime , the best I can do with " vintage-looking " sporrans are the following :

And of course ... dear to our hearts ... a hair sporran

Thanks Mike ! I've noticed from many of your pics that you have an appreciation of the brown based tweed jackets as well .

I hope so... Might have to work. If I do work I may still drive on over. Might be after 4 when I arrive. I hate to miss it.

    Yes exactly!!

Especially the centre one! Right out of the vintage catalogues!

That's one of the nicest jacket/waistcoat sets I've ever seen.

It was very common to wear buff, yellow, or red waistcoats with tweed jackets.

    Ah, good to know!
Interesting, the first pic, civilian day wear with spats? Was this common?
