Oh, yes I am!
I don't let on about the number of times I have to call upon friends to come over and help me out, or even get me out, of trouble. I just tried to upgrade my Real Player because the version I had was out of date, and I made a nonsense of the whole thing. As for upgrading my Windows XP with something called 2 Pack (I think), which I was prompted to do when logging on last week ...... well, I practically blew up the computer, and I still don't know if I have the upgrade!
I admit, I am fine with photos (can even downsize them now so that they are suitable for places like "X Marks ...." galleries!!!), but that's the Artist in me. Everything else requires a Technician/Engineer, which I most certainly am not!
It's alright for you youngsters, but I had to teach myself how to use these things, having retired before we had them at the office!

Hey Rhino! Who says I cannot lift heavy things? I can lift a full glass with the best of 'em (but it usually loses weight very quickly! )

Sorry, had to regain my composure.
I'm sorry for your tech problems and I hope things are better now. Sorry I don't live closer or you could have given me a call and I would have come over and 'cleaned up' the mess.

Yeeeesss, that's it, Richard, SP2. I knew there was a "2" in it somewhere. I've not heard about it, but when I logged on one day last week, a window awaited me and recommended that I needed to download (?) it to avoid possible connection problems with the internet. It all semmed to be rather complicated, and asked questions that I had to guess the answers to, but it seemed to complete doing whatever it was supposed to do - although nothing told me that it had finished! Anyway, I've had no problems - touch wood!
Take care,
Ham.
(PS: You'd still be very welcome to pop round and fix any computer problems, should they occur, Richard. What's a few thousand miles?!!!!)

what have you guys done to me? now I seeem to be nicking myself everytime I shave! I do agree that there are _many_ more difficult places to shave than the head - err...not that I go around shaving other parts of me. Well, not anymore anyway.
richard, which "flavor" of *nix do you run? I was thinking of switching over on my PPC, but the pro audio software just isn't ready for primetime, yet.

I do, and I love it.
Mine is from Thiers-Issard, and so, so, soooo nice.
It's definitely got a learning curve to it, but taking the time to shave with a mug and a brush and a straight razor is one of my great ways to relax.
As for you, Jazzkiltz, two things:
1. Mandrake is an excellent flavor, with all of the ease of Redhat rpms but more frothy coolness.
2. Shaving 'other parts' of your body with a straight razor is a great way to develop one's sense of religion
