Where in Canada are you? I'm in Toronto and can get any colour I want. I also go online and order it seems to me there is enough time to get whatever colour you want. I would suggest going to House of Cheviot, here is the link

I think I would not wear BOOTS to a wedding. Tie up simple brogues, black if you sporran is black, brown if your sporran is brown; Unless you are riding a horse, or cut the grass, why boots, especially Dr Martins....?

Claret hose and blue flashes might well be worth a thought. Just a further thought for you to also consider, are boots really suitable for weddings? Hope this helps.
no bow tie or just not a black one? if i wore dark grey hose with red flash would a red bow tie be ok?

Hose and flashes...

to match the kilt what color should I get
Well... this is kinda tough in that, most of this stuff with respect to hose and flashes is personal... kinda like selecting a tie to go with your favourite suit/shirt.
I don't have a large selection of kilt hose. However I find that cream, black or the heather gray will work most anywhere. As for the flashes I have them to match the tartans and... sometimes I'll wear a red flash on the left leg and a green one on the right, eh?

I am sorry, your question nearly passed me by. I really have to say again that you seem to be giving far too much thought over what colour goes with what. It is not a significant consideration with civilian traditional kilt attire.
To answer your question, if bow ties are your thing for day attire, then any colour, other than all black, of any combination will do. The same applies for the more common choice of a drop down tie. It is true though, that some combinations of colours work better than others, so let your eyes be the judge. Black drop down ties are for funerals.

I am also a bow tie wearer and I agree with Jock that pretty much any color other than black would work fine.
Frankly, if you take inspiration from McMurdo, you'll always look pretty sharp. I would just wear the same kind of shirt, tie, and shoes that I would wear to a wedding if I had pants on. The main accessories special to the kilt are the socks and a sporran.
I think Doc Martens look fine with a kilt for going to the pub or other casual events. But for a wedding I would definitely wear dress shoes.
Have a great time and my congratulations to the happy couple!

A couple years ago I had some medical problems that left me with nerve damage in one leg and foot, and an unfortunate propensity to turn my ankle without provocation. So I took to wearing medium to high cut boots in dressier styles for daily wear to get the extra ankle support. If I were to wear boots with a kilt to a wedding it would likely be something like these:

I definitely approve of the ankle-boot brogues like those ForresterModern posted. That is one style of boot that would work with both the kilt and the wedding.

I suppose it depends on the wedding, but no, no, no, they would not be suitable for any wedding that I have ever attended.
