I have 4 camo's. Both Sportkilts I have are. I wear them mostly for mowing the lawn kind of jobs. My 2 camo UKS I wear anywhere I please. Strangely I'm not fond of camo clothing but seeing it pleated and swinging makes it attractive to me.

Funny story: The 1 and only "bad expirience" I can report being kilted is when a Carney at a local fest went nuts. claiming he was Vet. and appalled that someone would make such a thing out of his sacred camo. All I could do chuckle to myself. But not even 2 minutes later an older gent came over and told me he was in WW2 and loved my kilt, leaned towards his wife and said you know Christmas is coming I think that is what I want.

I wear my cammo 'cos the wife picked it out for my birthday. If you look closely you can see her thumbprint in the middle of my forehead.
It's a useful piece of kit tho', stands up to loads of outdoor jobs and activities and never shows stains when you spill food/drinks down yourself. Recently standing in driving rain for about 30mins the top apron was wet through but the bottom apron and pleats were dry and therefore warm, others in trousers couldn't understand why I was the only one not shivering.

Probably because of muddy foxholes. Not the ideal environment for a kilt. Cold, damp clingy mud in all the wrong places day after day and night after night would be enough to get me into trousers.

But Iraq would be the perfect setting for kilted troops in desert camo.

About a year ago I was out in one of mine and a guy said "I've never seen a camo kilt." I replied "Yep, the Camo Clan is one you don't see around much!"

After he thought about then laughed...

on the other rigged, mud and wet from trenches get much easier dry on a kilt than on trousers, especailly when worn.
also for the lochs and moor in scotland it seemed the best way; could this one the reason why unbifucated garmenst survived so long in scotland?

I might be wrong, but I think i read somewhere that there is a big problem with sand fleas over there. IOf true, a kilt would make "the boys" much more available to their bloodthirsty appetites.
