Using the top picture. The left tartan looks like Cameron of Erracht and the right one is The Scottish Wildcat tartan and is worn by its designer.

I saw a blazer at a thrift shop last week that was identical to that (panels of different sized houndstooth)!
I could pick it up for you if you’d like. ;)

Well that is a kind thought thank you. I am a huge fan of houndstooth patterns of the same size, but to my eye the patterns of different sizes in one jacket would be distinctly unsubtle. ![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

It certainly wold be a fashion statement made, in many respects, in a curious direction. I don't see you pulling off defending the choice as a garment.
