Ahh, so if I understnd correctly, once the new series is over for a particular show, a different show airs with a new series. I like that idea...it's like everything is always fresh.
Here in the U.S., once the new season is over (usually Sept. to May), we have repeats the rest of the time.
Do you have channels available where you can watch repeats?
Thanks Hamish!

The BBC site also has a forum where you can express an opinion.
Hamish, if Duncan is in Edinburgh, maybe he can buy a new kilt to replace the one he sold!
(my reality is getting distorted.....)

Apparently the production allowed Hamish to keep the kilt and his leather jacket.
Read Hamish Clark's comments about the show, his kilt, and his departure here:

London - Hamish Clark may need to call up Sherlock Holmes. His Kilt and his Leather Jacket from the hit series, Monarch of the Glen, were stolen from his London Flat. Apperantly, he has no idea how long have they been missing.
Clark noticed the missing essemble this morning when he was going to wear the kilt to charity Luncheon. To his surprise, it was missing. At first he thought it was a prank. He called people who have access to his flat, but no one knew anything. He also phoned the producers of his old series and his agent to see whether he was being 'Punk'd.'
Clarke finally phoned up the police to file a report. The police arrived and couldn't find much usable evident. However, the police reported that a small sample of dirt was found near the front door. It appeared to be originated from Tazmania.

Graham, old friend, surely you, of all people know that one does not have to go to Edinburgh to buy a kilt (although, I have to admit, it's probably the wisest thing to do!).
Take care,
Ham.
(PS: I mean no disrespect to our kiltmakers in the Colonies who, I am sure, turn out damnably good garments)

Hi Brian,
I have access to only the four main terrestrial TV channels here in the United Kingdom. There are Satellite channels, and cable and digital channels available in some areas, but I have none of those. We do occasionally get re-runs of quite old shows, but they are mainly used as stop-gaps away from prime-time viewing, I think. We seldom get second showings of anything recently transmitted. It is possible, however, that they are available on the channels I cannot receive.
I get the impression that the BBC is happier to sell the Videos and DVDs of the programmes rather than broadcast them again!!

All Lies, nothing but lies! I was feeding the pidgeons at Trafalgar Square at the time, I was nowhere near his place. I have 859 birds as witnesses to prove it!!

Just remembers Bart Simpsons quote...
"I didn't do it, you can't prove it and there are no witnesses!"

Ah! Then, by your own admission, we 'have' you on another count, Graham! Not knowing this is no excuse, but feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square is now illegal.
It's all a matter of public health. The mess was incredible and was a huge problem. The Square is now a delight to visit, especially since the traffic has been rerouted from the northern side and we have new flights of steps sweeping down from the National Gallery. I can see it's high time you returned to your homeland for a visit, so make it in 2005!
