Snap. My buddy Mario is going to be joining us. He's not going to have his kilt in time unless he can magically get one in the next few days but he's gotten the cajones up to buy his first one and wants to come out and join us for this GTG.

Philadelphia - 11/20/2004
For the Philadelphia area...
Kildare's in King of Prussia, PA on Saturday night November 20th.
The Hooligans are performing that night... upstairs... away from the preppies!
Wear the kilts! For those who are drinkers, they carry Smithwick's, Guinness, Beamish, Harp, Murphy's, etc., etc.
For those who don't drink, these guys are a freakin' BLAST!

Alas, I'll be in England on the 20th. Foxhunting, of course. We really need to start thinking about what we'll do for Burns night. Wharton School has a Burns night. Anybody ever gone?

Shows at Kildare's are USUALLY form 10-2. That doesn't mean that you can't get there earlier. I'm sure that I'll arrive before the band (Ed and Pete for sure) and have a few with the boys.
I'm also going to throw invites out to friends.
Seamus Kennedy (by the way) will be at Brittinghams on December 4th. I'm going with Barleyjuice for a night of eating, drinking and laughing... at someone else's act!!! If you would like, it's a great restaurant, and a good place to bring the other-half.

Swat... it's also a restaurant that MANY kids go in to. The easlier you get there, the safer you are.
At the worst, the bouncers will see the kilts and know that you're here for the Hooligans. I'll vouch for you.

Well I cheated and saw the Hooligans last night at Finnigans Wake to see what they were like, not to mention to check out the venue.
Last night was one of the best nights of my life. The beer was flowing, the dancing joints were properly lubricated, and I had attracted an impressive retinue of gorgeous women who wanted to dance all night with the man in the kilt. The Hooligans did their part and kept up such a beat that even a dead man would be compelled to get up and dance. And I'll tell you what, when the beer has been flowing enough these guys are masters of pulling in the crowd and getting things really going.
This is my first time going out and really partying with a kilt on. I wasn't prepared for the reaction from the ladies. I thought you guys were just joking. I didn't compromise my marriage or anything but next time I'll have a much healthier respect for the aphrodisiac effects a dancing fool in a kilt has on pretty young girls.
