LOL true. But I am wearing a Scottish National tartan, not a clan tartan, and they already know it so I can't BS my way out of that.
I might try that with the Royal Stewart, though, since that is kinfolk we're talking about.
I'm stilly hoping though to come up with enough scratch to get #3 ordered within a couple of weeks.

I've had people at work comment about my wearing what they thought to be the same kilt two days in a week. I ask, why would you think I have but one kilt, do you only have one pair of jeans?
Doesn't matter that it was the same kilt, it gets them to think about what they're saying.
Had they asked if it was the same kilt, I'd have said it was.

Life can be strange. But tartans do have more color/detail to them unlike jeans that are one solid color.
I'm sure that you currently have everyone's interest. After a month or two of consistent kilt wearing, I bet no one will be interested.

another toke off the USAK crack pipe
I stopped by the shop today to give Kelly & Rocky a deposit on kilt #2, a Philabeg in Royal Stewart. Bold colors, yes, but a nod to my in-laws (Stewarts, or if you ask my mother-in-law, "Stuart"). Kelly was so pleased with this that she stuffed my face with brownies.
I've really been admiring the traditional kilts. I need to get one more Philabeg after this one (so I can go kilted all week to work), and then it is a traditional for me. I was checking out one that Rocky was just about done with and wished that I could afford to throw a bit more $$$ at the wardrobe.
With any luck I'll be bright red at work next monday. I'll try to get a pic when the kilt is done.

Richard,
All I had to do was SHOW him the traditional and I got his blood up. He told me that it was going to be kilt # 4 (while he deposited on kilt #2 and hasn't talked about kilt #3 yet). He may be behind you in total # of Philabegs, but for his first kilt, he sure got hooked quickly!
Have you come out of KA (kilts anonymous) yet? What sort of treatment plan did they put you on?
Let me know what tartan you want for your next traditional and I'll get on it!
