The look of horror on her face was priceless.
We all have Mary Tyler Moore to thank. You should post a pic of her in the famous capri pants next to the Rob Roy picture.

But that would be too much like rubbing salt into the wound.

I think she suffers a bit from her reputation as "that manager who has the guy with the kilt working under her". I think she was maybe picturing how bad it would be if two or three of us were wearing them. . .[/b] others that each want one of their own.
I love it!! You guys will just have to clearly demonstrate how much comfort contributes to productivity!!

Well one of my coworkers who is not yet kilted was hoping to get a kilt before the XMarks gathering tomorrow night and join us. I was sad to break the news to him that he waited too long. I think it went kind of like this: when I started wearing a kilt, I was just a freak. But when Mario started wearing one, too, it became a movement. Now that it is socially acceptable around here due to the groundbreaking work by others, he wants in, too.

    Great. An Angus-Come-Lately.

Actually, better late than never. Only one of my friends has ever put on a kilt. And none of my co-workers. Not that I have much chance of influencing co-workers, as I can't wear kilts in the office.

Several of my co-workers have seen me kilted, and all but one were cool with it. I'd point to the many co-workers as proof that wearing a kilt to the office wouldn't be the end of the world. Management, however, would point to the one as proof that the company just isn't ready.

In fact, two people (including me) in the department now own kilts and now we're up to four others that each want one of their own.
    remember what Arlo Guthrie sang:

    You know, if
one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and
they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

    I love creating paranoia
