Alex, you are a lucky guy to enjoy the gracious hospitality of the Amyot family. As I know well. Fantastic pix of a great time!

Beautiful pictures Robert, thanks for sharing them. Annecy sure does look like parts of Venice! The 'Alex' sign that Alex is standing by, is that another town you visited, or what is it's significance?

The evening was a very special one for we officially greeted Alex at the town hall. There were speeches, a piper, gifts, signing the Livre d'Or and pure malt to drink.

    One photo with the Saltire...

We ended the evening at our house.

The last day, we were on our way for Chamonix.

We crossed Mont-Saxonnex and took a photo by this unique chapel.

    Then, something caught our eye...

Arriving in Chamonix, Alex took photos of strange machines …

The town of Chamonix in itself is a splendour :

a celtic cross... with the name MacDonald. Another chapel.

then back home to visit a familiar site.

Finally, this morning, I brought Alex back to the Airport... ...with THE SALTIRE .
