I have a cousin who knows a guy that knows a guy that might be able to help you out
If the Team needs any mountaineering experience just give me about 20 minutes notice and I'll be there.
I assume that tweed would be the proper choice for jacket and waistcoat for this expeditionary force.

And...let's admit it: **** happens. In your worst fantasies about what went wrong you can go from "scarf delivered to incorrect address" to "recipient died of a massive heart attack five minutes before the package arrived". I'll be very interested in knowing what went wrong here this time.

ps: I know how tough it can be to travel with advanced weaponry from the UK to this side of the pond, so I'll put my vast arsenal of Nerf weaponry at the SWAT team's disposal....when you get near the target, just look for the white van with the "Chicago Typewriter Company" logo on the side.
pps: I certainly hope that the discussion of air powered toys that can fire a foam rubber tube maybe twenty feet with the impact of a thrown marshmallow doesn't violate any forum rules...
I have to say I very much agree with this. Last year when I hosted the scarf some undoubtedly low level postal clerk on a power trip stopped my package for like 3 cents, even though it was in a flat rate package. As soon as I saw that online through tracking, I ran flat out for the post office on my lunch and sent it on it's way (with a few choice words for the USPS).

Thanks for all your input and growing concerns, guys n gals. Before we all deploy into action .. there is a plan B.
If the scarf hasnt resurfaced by 20th Sept (thats another two weeks), its brother will head out to continue the mission.
So in light of that ... perhaps we could restart the list. Who for definite would like to host it, take some pics with it etc and send it on to another reliable host. It would be good if it could retrun to me by March 1st 2013 St Davids Day. So that gives it a load of time to get around and see the world a bit.
Please sign up here .. any other thoughts or suggestion gratefully recieved.

Derek it is always welcome here in the land downunder, for a fun time and quick turnaround. If I could also be so bold to suggest that it only travels in one direction and to the closest person to you, if available, rather than criss crossing large areas

The scarf seems a tad narrow for the purpose but the length is nearly sufficient

Sigh and sigh again.
Alright then chaps, stand down, the holi... err well, the mission is off.
On a serious note, we have no idea why the scarf went missing and its no good wasting our grey matter on wondering. S*1T happens and could happen again, in the meantime let us get on with plan B.
