Welcome! Your english is fine. I did not even know you were posting from another country until you mentioned it. And as AA says, somebody here will probably point out many options for you to wear, but one idea is to check the municipal/governmnt web sites for Spain and Valencia to see if either has already adopted a tartan. Many countries and regions have done so.

It was a really f... windy day over there!, I had to be all the way taking care of my dignity all along the main centre of Glasgow and thinking of Marilyn Monroe over the subway's air exit on that glorious movie icon!!!!
P.S.: First time addressing to you all here. Sorry for my poor english and greetings from a kilted Spaniard in Valencia!...mmm just one thing,... anybody knows some "official" tartan for absolutely non celtic spaniards?
Fantastic job of English.
I know of several tartans from Spain one being the Galacian Tartan. Now I cannot remember some of the others. Like Auld Argonian said the knowledge of the people here, never ceases to amaze.

Sorry WhiteravenJr I thought that I initilly responded to your question, but apparently deceived myself.
Yes the so called "experts" who know it all sometimes are not willing to practice what they preach. I personally would prefer a sporran unless of course your kilt is like a Utilikilt or something similar. Like Switchblade5984 said, if he doesn't wear a kilt, what gives him room to say what is appropriate?

Catalunya 1992
Designed for the 1992 Olympic games (best Olympic games ever imho) It has the Olympic colours with the Catalan yellow and red dominating.
Since yellow and red are also the colours of the Spanish flag...just claim it as your national tartan

Sportkilts.com also has a surprisingly large range of daywear sporrans that are well built and rather handsome for very good prices. That's where I got my Maltese Cross sporran and it's the one I wear most commonly.

Valencian,
Welcome. You can go to http://www.district-tartans.com and click on "Tartan Finder"
It took me about 45 seconds to find several tartans related to Spain.
You'll enjoy it here.

wow,... somebody liked full coloured tartans?
Hi to all again! finally it seems that I have found a suitable tartan for my homeland region, VALENCIA, so I have to give thanks to starbkjrus, who addressed me to http://www.district-tartans.com/, in order to discover it and get amazed by such a variety of colours! as M.A.C. said some times, the perception of colours must be different in the real fabric than in the PC screen, but anyway it seems wanderful to me.
I would like to give sincere thanks to those who recommanded me to choice the "Catalan" tartan, but I must inform that suggesting such a thing to most of valencians would be as suggesting a McDonald to choose a Campbell tartan as his own! Our relations with catalans are quite similar to those between Scots and English ( and for us they're the english!) We live in the same area , at side of mediterranean, and of course our culture and language descends of them in a pretty nice percentage,... but,... their way to undestand this would be the same as if Ireland would wish to annexionate Scotland due to the irish origins of Scots in roman empire times, and the relations between the versions of your gaelic language,... and of course, the common suffering of both peoples under the english!,... too long to explain, sorry!
Anyway, my new objective will be to try to import enough fabric to make my new kilt and also to find a kiltmaker to make it real! it will not be easy to find one over here, and of course,... trying to import it from Scotland or USA will be amazingly expensive!
Thanks to all, and of course, I'll be pleased to listen about ur valorations about the design of the tartan.... anybody can tell me how to add it as my avatar?
Seeya! Salut!
