Ahh, finally!!!!!!!! 3 months on this site, and finally a Husker comment.

I guess you understand that jeans, a Huskers shirt and an Nascar hat is called a Nebraska tuxedo.

I am really not much of a Husker or football fan (blastphemy!) but I think if I got a big N on an apron, I would be the hit of the trailer park.

(Ok, that was really bad. Shut me down if necessary. But I do live here).

    Good look Norbydog,

Funny how that gig line obsession lingers years after the military...

You're right about no fly complicating things...and then tartan patterns...yikes!!

What helps me is to stand in front of the full length mirror "at attention" and balance my kilt apron to my thumbs at the side of my body. Most of my tartan kilt aprons are centered when each edge touches my thumbs when standing at attention.

Kiltmakers seem to strive to center the apron tartan...so when that's done I work to center the belt buckle and sporran.

As far as the body alignment, I paid for the Rolfing series 14 years ago and THAT was enough...

Nice job on the belt and sporran. I really can't add to the suggestions that have already been made. Nice tartan as well.

I will say this about alignment....I really do check the gig line when I am working, but without a fly, things are a little more difficult. I was in ahurry when the pic was taken, and my wife had told me that the sporran was too low, which may account for the misalignment. I had to do a quick adjust, and the chain does not have a buckle.

I'll post more pics and get more ideas. Thanks again!
I was going to say, surely you know about gig lines. I will admit though, that without a fly you lose one reference line.

    You look good anyway.
