My first kilt was a Fraser Modern Red which is my clan tartan. I have an All Ireland Green to represent my Irish roots and a black UK just for something non-clan related. I hope to soon have a kilt in the new FitzSimmons tartan and I'd also like a Fraser Hunting in a casual or lighter weight for those hot games I attend and the Irish National. So, most of my "haves" and "wanna haves" are related in some way to my heritage. I guess I ought to get a Welsh tartan too while I'm at it.

Not at the moment, although I have decided that my next kilt will be the Clergy tartan.

I only have one kilt, and that is a solid.
I have three kilts on order, one is a Stillwater Nightstalker.
I don't really have a "clan" or "district" or anything like that but.....
I might order some Stillwater kilts later this year in some "common" tartans and then learn about them just so I know.
Next year I would like to start getting "my" tartans which would be:
Swedish
Illinois
Arizona
However, considering the cost of "real" kilts I am thinking maybe one a year.

Yes, you do:
Swedish
Illinois
Arizona
All three are considered "district tartans", since they represent a nation and/or state.

I currently have 1 clan tartan - Robertson Hunting (13-oz 8-yd Strathmore)
Another clan tartan, Robertson Red, is on order from Bear Kilts (yes, I've heard from him, he's doing better & he's assured me of the kilt's eventual delivery)
As for regional/district/corporate tartans, I just picked up my Scottish American tartan kilt from the post office this morning (16-oz 5-yd purchased for $275 from CelticIslesShop.com - thanks for the lead, Rex) & I have a 16-oz 5-yd box-pleat Arizona State kilt on order from Matt (which I'm hoping will arrive next month).
As you can see, after 3 years of nothing but Utilikilts (Originals & Mockers), I'm transitioning this year to including more traditional tartan kilts (I'll still wear the UKs, though). I've learned to really appreciate the look & feel of a trad kilt.
.
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!
