No at the time I hadn't thought about the kilt or tartan. It took a while.I like to think a lot before I buy anything. As you may know there are Norwegian Bunads that have tartan in them.Gudbrandsdalen is one that commemorates Priller Guri. Lord Malcom is the Societies patron

Are you a member of Clan Gunn? I am asking, because I am curious about that clan. It seems from what I could dig up that there is a fair share of Scandinavian blood in the Gunns, which would make a lot of sense for someone farther north. I have a buddy who's name is Swanson, but as far as he knows, he doesn't have Scottish in him, but he knows he is of Swedish descent. Just trying to dig up some first hand info on the subject is all.
That gathering looks like it was a fun time for all, and perhaps some not so fun times later
Looks like a few guys got nice and toasty before the end of the affair (no offense, I'd be one of those guys!).
I have yet to attend a more formal clan/society function, but perhaps in the near future I can get some first hand experience.

I'm not a card carrying member as such. However the Clan has good strong Conections to Scandinavia. I have read recently that A brother(William) of the chief from a Branch of the Clan, the Robson Gunns Fought in Sweden for the king during the 30 years war. Maybe there is a connection there.
