Let's see; how can I work a kilt into this short, temperature story. Well, I did wear my kilts (and wraps) on my last cruise While visiting the clothing optional Orient Beach on St. Martin, the Americans from Florida and California said that the 70C ocean was too cold for them and they wouldn't go into the water, but I swam out to the raft off shore and met one lovely naked lass from Montreal and a gent from Vancouver. I think Canadians are more climatized to cooler/colder temperatures, so a 13 oz kilt is fine when people from more temperate climates may need a 16 oz. kilt. I also agree that when the snow is blowing, it may require more than a 16 oz. kilt, like my sheepskin-lined drover.
