The thing I find impressive about Wikipedia is that generally the contributors behave with surprising restraint, given that it's possible to delete a whole entry and insert your own info (or misinfo). Usually if there's a controversy about an entry you'll get ALL opinions listed with a note that opinion is divided on the issue, and with nothing saying "this opinion is more accurate" and with no back-and-forth deleting and substituting that could so easily be the case. When people can agree to disagree even on the internet the world can't be as disaster-bound as it sometimes appears.
