Thats I guess what happened with me also. I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings with them, I heard they can be hit or miss also after I received the PC, but it feels good to hit it right the first time.

Me, too. I always worry about whether casual combinaions look good with the kilt. I have no such worries with the PC or Argyll outfits.
BTW - I have ghillie brogues and like them, but the shoes you're wearing are just fine.

I really do love the Modern Gunn as well, as I have said many times before, this particular kilt was handed down to me from my father, it is 57 yrs old now and it looks almost as good now as it did then.

57 Years wow!! you seem to have looked after it well .It looks as new as mine 4 years old and counting

My Dad gave it to me because in his words "It must have shrunk in the dry cleaners." It was his when he was 13 and he just turned 70 on Jan 4, it was from:
A&J Scott and Co.
Aberdeen
It is as fine a kilt as anyone could ask for.
