CPO Bull,
You were sent a private message politely asking you to edit the term "****" from your post. The correct word is Pakistani and this is the term we use on X Marks the Scot.com and this is the term you will use on our forum.
Since you have not edited your post and seen fit to argue about this on our open forum I will edit your post for you. As a new member to XMTS I urge you to please review our forum rules before posting again.
Respectfully
Jamie

Resetting Specil Sea and Anchor Detail, not at GQ this time.
My name is W.A.Bullard Jr. I am a 36 years service retired CPO/USN, with 25 years of sea service. I am Irish American, through my Great GrandMother, who though being Irish herself was nevertherless born in Glasgow. She is "Glasweggian", so I am Celtic Born and Celtic bred.
I play the pipes and am a Drum Major for AOH NewPort/RI Pipes and Drums Corps. We have a Jacobite or two or three or four and we love'em!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in a kilt at least three days a week, between Pipes lessons, band practice, and marching. The month of March is called "March" because that is what they mean. In my DM duties I wear tyhe traditiuonal Saffron kilt of the London Irish Rifle Diviision and also the Ulster 36th Division, both famous divisions. I also own three Alexis Malcom Kilts in O'keefe [my clan], Edsal Plad [USN tartan] and Irish Diaspora [Blood tartan]. Malcolm kilts are very beautiful, well fitting and worth every bit the money that you will pay for them; generally speaking I wear them to band practice. I also own three Pakistani made kilts from "The Frugal Corner". The first one I ordered from them I ordered with some trepidation, not knowing them. I will say straight away that I was very pleased with the fit finish, and detail quality of it; it is Black Stewart and is quite beautiful. I also own Hunting Small Set and Irish Green. All Frugal Corner kilts come with full leather belting, full lining, 9" darting supporting the pleats, and selvidge hem in 16oz. polyviscose [ read as synthetic wool here] and are rugged as well as well made. They represent a very good value for the money and when purchased with the fly plaid, which is pearled as a standard [pearling can drive the cost of a fly plaid by as much a 100%] rperesent value well worth the very modest sum that you will pay for them. All Frugal Corner Kilts come with a standard 24" drop but can be refitted to the customer's desires; I am lucky because Alexis fitted me for a 24-1/2" drop, so the 24 of "Frugal" fits me with no visible difference and more importantly no felt diference whatsoever.
Must sign off for now; will continue this later.

Notice the models are all the same? They're Lochcarron's pics on "the frugal corner" website, but they are NOT selling Lochcarron's products (unless they make it a habbit to sell the items for less than they buy them for wholesale).
Maybe you should ask to buy the EXACT LOCHCARRON DRESS pictured on the frugal corner's site and demand to pay their advertised price. It's below my wholesale price. Notice what these dresses SHOULD cost on the Scottish Lion's site.
I noticed while looking for a kilted skirt for my wife that many sites, including some in Scotland, are reselling ladies wear made by UK Expo, a wholesaler in Pakistan. I am not specifically accusing Locharron of doing this, mainly because I can't remember who was, but it certainly included some Scottish makers that made their own men's kilts, and none of them acknowledged where the ladies' kilts, etc. came from.
On the whole, though, if you see the same pictures with the same models wearing the same ladies' kilted skirts and so on, then UK Expo is usually the undisclosed origin. For example, just because Scottish Lion may sell Locharron in the men's range doesn't mean they may not also sell UK Expo from Pakistan in the ladies' range.

I understand what you're saying. However, based on the following things, I stand by my comment:
1. The prices of the products listed on Scottish Lion (too expensive for Pakistani Skirts)
2. They have Lochcarron Pics and would be asked to take them down (by Lochcarron) if they weren't selling Lochcarron Kilted Skirts and the like
3. The Scottish Lion has a good reputation as a dealer. If they say (or represent through photos) it's Lochcarron kilted skirts they're selling, I'd believe it.
And for the record since this post is a little old, it looks as though FC removed the Lochcarron pics from their site.
The use of the same pictures across different kilt / scottish goods sites gets a bit confusing. Some companies use the photos their suppliers give them of different products. OTHER companies just copy / paste photos from competitors websites (unethical?). I received permission (I had to sign a disclaimer as well) to use and a disk of Lochcarron images direct from Doug at the Scotland office... when I looked at the images, they were mostly images I'd seen before on 500 other kilt / Scottish goods websites (many of which deceivingly sold Chinese / Pakistani goods using Scottish made images on their site). We decided for USA Kiltsto do our own photo shoots so that our pictures would be different than ANY other company out there. This way I'll KNOW is someone steals an image from me and if I see one of my pictures on someone else's site, I can go after them.

We've had people claiming to represent UK Expo try and join here a few times for the sole purpose of bombarding the site with threads and pictures of their "kilts". Based on these pictures I would assume that someone that couldn't tell the difference between denim and leather would be able to spot the difference between Lochcarron and UK expo.
I have seen many sites using kilt pictures that they find on google images without thinking that those pics belong to other firms. Lochcarron is a perfect example where some of their images of their products have been used by smaller companies that are not Lochcarron distributors.
