I've PMed the owner of Renegade kilts here on Xmarks and also emailed him but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Maybe he's on vacation.

Alan is a bit slow to respond, but he will do so. I expect to see him next week late, and will ask if he's responded. He has also been having some computer line issues lately because of his recent move, so you might give him a call if the website has a number. If not, I may be able to come up with it if you PM me. Don't give up.

I just talked to Alan. he's been down with a back injury for three days or so and hasn't been on-line. I mentioned this thread and that Gaisgeil is trying to contact him so hopefully he'll respond soon.

Well, Utilikilts is now selling in three retail outlets - Their own store in Seattle, a Goth boutique in Denver, Colorado and a Celtic shop in Austin, Texas. Not exactly a mass market move to The Gap or Nordstrom's, but certainly growing the business into a new dimension. And they're still doing phone and online sales, as well as wholesale.

Their newletter says they have in stock special sizes for guys with waist-sizes of 46 inches and more, as well as skinnier waists (30 - 33 inches) for the bean-poles amongst us. They aren't shown in the online catalog though -- you have to call or email to get them.

They also had a large booth in the "Streetwear" section of the MAGIC Menswear Tradeshow in Las Vegas last month. Seems things went well, especially since they were the only presenters who were actually wearing (and modelling) the clothing they were selling.

That had to be something the fashion pros had never seen before -- a bunch of average joes of difference sizes, shapes and ages hitting the runway to show off the stuff they were just hawking in the booth a few minutes earlier.

Happy customers promoting, selling, and modelling their product -- at least that hasn't changed.
