New boots and Contracts!
Yeah the Clash was a serious part of messing with my head and sorting it at the same time. I was into them by the mid 80's which makes me a late bloomer as far the Clash go but better late than never. Quite into the mod scene too and in Australia both scenes had plenty of tartan in the garb but usually with the girls (oh those mini skirts!). Only the wankers had the tartan stove pipe pants covered in zips because they were so expensive!
Interesting question in this thread and I have wondered if there WAS a correllation between my punk self and Kilted self. It'd be the rebel part. Being bad but looking (and feeling) good while I'm at it.
Other bands worth a hats off:
P.I.L. DK's Bad Brains The Saints The Damned Black Flag (go Rollins!)
and for a new group (check 'em out Old Punks), Refused.
Sid Snot 'ere...

Same here, hence the display name... I'm into alot of anarcho, folk, U.K. 82 hardcore, and D-beat, but lately I've been listening to alot of Oi and celtic punk... if you want a list of bands, let me know.

Anarcho-folk is pretty much all I have ears for lately.
show a friend went to:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...arch&plindex=0
His description of the show:
Every single show I have ever been to pales painstakingly in comparison to this one I just got back from. It was the Skunkape Circus' tour with a few Riot-Folk-esque singers, Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains (who are now known as Wingnut Dishwasher Union), and Mischief Brew.
It was held in a tiny garage of a barn house with a tarp and just this huge downpour. After a band played, they would be right next to you slinging mud. Completely DIY show; 5 hours of sweaty crusts, a campfire, acoustic guitars, 100 person sing-a-longs, gratuitous male nudity, and dollar-cds-that-come-with-a-handful-of-pins-and-stickers.
