It is a sports pub, but they have great and reasonably priced breakfasts in the morning.
Here's the breakfast menu: http://winchellsrestaurant.com/menu-breakfast.htm
The address is:
348 Southland Dr
Lexington, KY 40503
(859) 278-9424
If you turn onto Southland from Nicholasville Road, go under the railroad tracks and you will see the temple on the left. Winchells is next door.

Far from it. This is campus we're talkin' about, after all. Drunk college kids have low standards, generally. And that's the appeal of the 'Ho - the divelike feel. I forgot about Winchell's. I've only been there once, and that was years ago for some drinkin'. But I can't think of anyplace around here whose breakfasts will rival the bourbon ball french toast at Lynn's. Alfalfa's might have a Sunday brunch, and it would be a good place for Jen (if she's coming), since they're vegetarian-friendly. Or Cafe on the Park, although being that that's in a hotel, it might be a tad pricey for some palates. Or Ramsey's. We'd probably have to call and warn them if we went there. That place is pretty popular on Sundays. They have several locations, too. Too bad there's no place in town to have a nice Irish/Scottish breakfast. I vote Ramsey's, based on the choices so far. Where is everyone staying?
Hope y'all aren't gonna feel the breeze too badly under the apron - the forecast is for a high of 26º, and a low of 19º!

And since I can't seem to get my post edited, I'll add the caveat here - Ramsey's doesn't open until 10 on Sundays, so that would be a good choice if you guys don't mind a later start to your breakfast.

Dana,
Jenn will be with me. Mark and Debbie emailed me to say they are staying at the Marriott affiliate (as are we) in the 800 block of S Broadway, near Red Mile.
I'm good with Alfalfa's or Ramsey's, or Winchells' if that will work better. I'll leave that to locals to figure out for us.

To those that will be in the area on Thursday night, there's a Celtic Assoc. meeting at O'Neils at 8 PM. They have a band and let anybody sing or play. Me and Dana will be there till I have to go to work.
All Kilties and "Bifor's" are welcome.

Well, tonight's the night.
We get a final headcount/rollcall?
We'll get there around 8:30ish.

8:30-ish, assuming the roads don't suck, of course. If so, we might be a little later.

Meinde has a reservation for twelve or fourteen under the name Kilted. So far, Jenn and I will be there, along with Meinde and his wife, Glaisne and SexyButler, MacDanar and OFCJAX. There may be a couple more in our group--hopefully they'll sound off here or elsewhere.
