This is the view on my computer, the cemetery at Inverchaolain looking out on Loch Striven near Dunoon on the west coast of Scotland. I can transport my mind there when it gets stressfull at work.... serenity nbw.

Nice photographs in this thread. My home desktop is my dog. At work it varies. Anything from Star Trek/space themes to pictures of electronic equipment. An occasional Dr. Who Tardis console picture tossed in to confuse people.

For ages I had the Mackintosh tartan (what else on a G4 Mac) but my eyes started to go funny staring at all the lines, so now I have a peaceful wooded glade ( mostly green)

At work, I've got a series of photos of Scott Lake, up in the Cascades near here and at home, this pic taken overlooking Chaco Canyon in New Mexico.

My 13 year old son has been inventing characters for kids stories since he was tiny. His favorite one, for the time being, is a half man-half tiger, pirate captain (a kind one though; he doesn't kill anyone, he only likes to sink ships)/baseball player/NASCAR driver named Tigiris Tigerbeard.
We went onto the tartan designer site and gave him a highland heritage. The Tigerbeard Tartan is now on my desktop

Red and yellow make orange-stripes, black-stripes, blue, because we don't have much imagination!
It's invading the entire household STOP THE MADNESS!

I am also one of those frequent changers...I've had various tartans, pictures I've created, holiday themes, all sorts of things. The one I have had up for a couple of weeks now is fun and has my family name (King):
