It's her turn after daylight savings time ends.

(Although I wouldn't want to put a Kevlar kilt through this, their normal demonstration!)

I hope they drag from the other direction...

I would not want to put one of their kevlar bikinis through that either!

Sorry Barb. Don't like to push, but still... Anything new on this appendix to your fabulous book?

I've kept my mouth shut for a long time on this topic, but I'm finally going to break the silence.
Making a box pleat kilt is NOT THAT HARD. If you are just DYING to go make yourself a box pleat kilt, then do this:
1. make an x- Kilt
2. make a modified X-kilt that you don't topstitch, but rather, stitch the edges of the pleats to one another, from the inside, along the fell.
3. Go buy some good tartan and make a knife pleat kilt with Barb's book and instructions.
4. go buy some nice tartan, quit grousing and just use what you learned in kilts 1, 2, and 3 to make your own box pleat kilt.
This is EXACTLY what I did and I have now made three perfectly acceptable box pleat kilts. If I can do it, you can do it.

Not really so
I have a hard time "seeing " the instruction I've read in my minds eye. I would think that I was not an idiot and I have a history of sewing but for my first kilt I will certainly need a walk through. I've read her book about three or four times for fun.
I have been keeping an eye for a seminar near but...no luck. If you did it in three kilts then that is great on you. You have a knack. I don't think it is grousing but perhaps hopeful thinking. I understand that she is very busy, and with good reason. She is very good. I only wish that I could read what she wrote in her book and apply it more readily.
I have no interest in blowing all the money and time on three or more possible failed attempts so...I'll be patient.

What's amazing me in "The Art of Kiltmaking" is the fact that there are some "small trick of great masters" in it. And that is what I'm expacting from great master Barb to see in this box pleating chapter.
I'll keep my mouth shut. Barb, just take your time.
