The big question when he has a quote from a manufacturer is how many people are going to be willing to pay right then and there to get in on this run?
If 200 people say "I'd like a pin" but only 25 will actually order them when they become available, then the pins aren't likely to happen.
We don't have an "X Marks the Scot" store. We do produce ocassional runs of shirts, pins, and the beautiful XMTS tartan. So keep your eyes open and remember that to make these special items happen it requires people who are ready to put their money down on them.

Any links out there to show what the kilt pin and the clan badge will look like? I believe I have seen the kilt pin with the "X" behind, but have not seen a cap badge. Would like to see what one looks like. Also any idea on expected price?

If you look in the section of this forum titled X Marks Propaganda you will see the threads on the X Marks Items we are trying to get produced.
The Clan Crest Badge was made from a mold of the copyrighted design of Gaelic Themes. If they are the ones that will produce them the badge will look exactly like that of the sample. If Gaelic Themes is not our manufacturer we have an alternate design.
The X Marks Kilt Pin was designed by Hank Hanna, the owner of this forum. We have had Kilt Pins made before but had problems with the fasteners falling off. Gaelic Themes may also be the maker of these if they can insure me that the fasteners will be of the same quality of their other products.
I promise to keep everyone posted on the progress of these items. We are waiting for pricing on the tooling to come back. All we can do right now is wait. Patiently.
