My deepest sympathies and thoughts are with you.

My late father in law's first wife was also called Doris (also the name of my maternal grandmother) and she was bedridden for the last 12 years of her life yet I gather remained remarkably cheerful.

I know this must be a difficult time for you. My manager just lost her father after a long struggle with rheumatoid arthritis. He, too, was wheelchair bound. In the end he began having terrible sores, infected, and lost his left arm and both legs before his passing.

Sometimes it's better to think of your loved one as moved on, no longer in pain. My thoughts are with you.

Our English language does not contain the proper words at a time like this. I can only echo what others have said; and I wish you a soft and safe journey through this time of sorrow.

It's hard to lose a family member, but we must continue on. I'm told that we never really lose anyone so long as we keep them in our minds and hearts.

My condolences, we'll keep you and her in our prayers.
