Try that with a kilt from the Gold Bros.
That's just too cool

You can buy cedar items that come with hangars to hang in your closet. I've been doing this for years and haven't seen a single moth.

Well, I only wear tanks, but don't wear kilts that often for many reasons.
My first one is still going strong after 25 years.

Great pictures. Your dad looks very thin . . and the kilt fits you! That's great.

My Dad was 13 when that picture was taken, I think he looks older, but now I've out grown it too.

I've worn my tank to weddings, and I've worn it while climbing and rock scrambling up Katahdin, the tallest mountain in Maine. I've worn it probably as much as all the rest of my kilts combined (except for the Utilikilt I wear to work every day). I wear it as clothing, not as a precious commodity. Yes, it was expensive. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it, and it looks as fresh as the day I got it.

I could be mistaken, but i read in one of your other posts that your were holding out on a wool kilt until you had stopped growing. If thats the case, and your Wallace is acrylic or P/V, it will not weather as I understand. Man made fibers really dont lose their color unless they take an extreme beating.

Newsome a tank?
So, a Newsome kilt would not be considered a tank? It seems that they are build like a tank- wouldn't that meke them a tank?

Obviously the term "tank" when used to refer to a kilt is not a technical definition and is generally only used on this site. So, I guess the only person to truly answer that question would be Jimmy Carbomb (the originator of the term). With that being said I'll go ahead and answer anyway...This is just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't call Matt's kilts tanks. True, Matt's kilts are every bit as well built (and perhaps more so) as any 8yd. kilt out there. But I consider a big part calling a kilt a tank to be the hefty weight. A Newsome kilt uses about half the yardage in material and weighs considerably less than an 8yd. kilt. Therefore, I don't consider it a tank. I actually prefer the lighter weight of my Newsome kilt to my 8yd. as far as wearing it goes. It's got all the build quality and sturdiness of a "tank" but is more comfortable.
