I like the hat just fine, but the socks and shoes seemed too light for the outfit.
Btw, Welsh tartans are always great. You pull them off well.

If your comfortable wear it . Nothing in the kilt police handbook about hats I think.

Unusual or odd as it may appear to some, I have worn a straw, broad-brimmed hat (cowboy) with my kilt at the Texas Scottish Festival in Arlington, TX, because it can be so friggin' hot and sunny there. And, I wasn't the only one.

I think the hat looks better with the kilt than it would without the kilt.

Definitely a keeper. It looks perfectly like a part of you...that's good. Some people look like the hat is wearing them...that's bad.
