Cead mille failte!
We were in Inverness just after Christmas last year - it's a lovely place.
I had the absolute-best piece of beef I've ever tasted at the Mustard Seed, and spent a couple of fun evenings at Hootenany's. The highlight was seeing Big Country bash out a few tunes at the Ironworks, having been a fan since the beginning....

I have friend who lives in Gigha, John Martin. Here is a link when we stopped there in 2003. John applied his skills to repair our curragh that had incurred storm damage.

Answer to Argyllshire ancestral location.
McDonalds came from around Lochgilphead married Gillies from Kilmartin area, came to Canada in Kent county Ontario late 1831. Eldest son John,my great grandfather, married his second cousin (Gillies ). Second cousin came over to Canada around 1850 with her parents and settled in Elgin County Ontario. My grandmothers father Davidson came to Canada from Berwickshire in 1856. Married Alex McDonald.
