How could it?...wool's soft and oily...they use wool saddleblankets for horses to keep the saddle from chafing the horse...

My only links to The military would be the Air Training Corps which is an offshoot of the R.A.F of which I am a cadet and planning on becoming a VR(T) officer within the year when I turn 20, which I think would allow me to wear the Royal Air Force Tartan but as far as I am aware I can still wear the black watch?

Hi Jordan,
The rules are the same in the RAF, as the Canadian Forces, as a cadet you can wear the RAF tartan. The Black Watch is another excellent choice!
Cheers!
