Some years ago I heard on the radio of someone ringing around all the embassies of some large capital city, whilst live on air, asking what they would like for Christmas, and got the usual 'Peace on earth and goodwill to all men' responses, but at the British embassy a young man picked up the phone, was asked the question, and after a moment declared that some candied fruits would be very acceptable, thank you very much.
I hope he went a long way in the diplomatic service, that down to Earth sort of thinking is what is needed.
I think my own wishes for spare time are kilt related in a round about way - no more washing kilts at midnight, time to go over the less well finished off ones to tidy up the waistband, add the belt loops, maybe train someone to press pleats properly.
I could even make a start on the pile of fabric awaiting sewing into kilts, tunics, liners and the like.
However, somehow there seems to be a bit more time recently.
I have new curtains in the front room, something needing to be done for a long time. I have made good progress with a couple of knitted jerseys for myself too. I might even be able to start on some hose for myself, if I hand knit the feet and top I can do the leg on my knitting machine as that saves a lot of time.
However the place is rather dusty and unkept, the washing is getting dangerously high for an unshored pile, and there is washing up and shopping to do.
Oh yes, and dinner to find. Time to peer hopefully into the fridge for something suitable.

Argonian, as a longbowman since the 70's, I heartily applaud your desire!
In fact the only "cross words" I've had with my elder son in lo, these many years, was when he let slip that the deer he took last year (in Virginia, where he resides), was from a tree-stand, with a compound bow!
As I taught that lad all his basic woodskills, and none had involved aluminum or fiberglass or pulleys, I was indignant!
But I'm also getting off-track, though, aren't I?
For Xmas, I would be greatly relieved, and grateful, if the Mrs. & I could score some health insurance! (Our employees have it but we don't!)

All I want for Christmas is for my friends and family to have a safe and happy holiday season. (especially my niece and nephew) After looking at my bank statement, and all the wrapped gifts in my closet, I think that might happen.
Have a great holiday X-marks members!!

I wish I was shorter (currently 6'5") so I could buy off the rack casual kilts from the likes of Sport Kilt and SWK without having to wait for a custom length job.

Go with the standard and then tell her you need the extra $$ for the accessories.
She's a woman...she has no room to argue.

Well.... wait, you don't have a sporran/hanger/hose yet? Ok, I got my second sporran with kilt 2, and the belt/hanger between those two orders. i think. I just ordered the hose recently and havn't worn them yet.
Better soultion, just buy a cargo sporran and hanger all on your own now, then use the 80 for the nicer kilt.
