Nice job on the kilt! You could call the plaid "Weathered Kiltknitter" and make folks wonder where you got it.

Now if only you had a pair of handknit hose...

I love it -- it's now called the "Weathered kiltknitter" tartan.

An acquaintance of mine, after seeing pictures of my this double-box of mine, thought that it was the "Bear Tartan" (which is a registered tartan), because of the brown and tan stripes. I've just ordered the Bear Tartan from Chris (whom I've invited to join XMTS) and jonesing about getting the tartan fabric. Yes! I finally used the word "jonesing." I'll be making this friend of mine a box-pleat Bear Tartan Kilt in 16 oz wool. [yum]

Ooooh handknitted kilt hose --- I'm jonesing myself for own kilt hose....

You bet I am. My username there is Shekure. I have a couple of my patterns up there also, and hope to post some more soon. I'm actually working on a book... just gotta get my butt in gear and finish it!

Picked it up off eBay last month. It's the same material that Tetley is using for his double box in this thread: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...580/index.html
