No, no, no, absolutely not! I removed the kilted officer with his wee fire arm...remove him from your last post and we are good to go (at least I THINK you were referring to the tiny hand gun...not the American and Scottish flags?).

    Many apologies!

    Gentlemen I give you:

    KILT WATCH

Like Neibourhood Watch but for kilties.
The 'Eathen in his idleness bows down to wood and stone,
'E don't obey no orders unless they is his own,
He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,
Until up comes the Regiment and kicks the 'Eathen out.

Ah, the Men in Black Watch.

I'm tempted from time to time to shift through my fuzzy memories of high school shop class, and see if I can remember how to design and cast a pewter design ... resize McMurdo's design to the correct dimensions, change the name, cast it.
Then I stop and think, "What would I melt down?"

    Tartan Polis!

Actually, the first "tartan polis" force was raised back in 1998 -- The Scottish Colonial Tartan Police, or SCTP. Their motto was "Ever Vigilant -- Never Seen", and their badge was a plain buckle and strap, a la the clansman's badge, with no crest.

The SCTP was formed at a Burns Supper in the Midwest after a gentleman dressed in a most unorthodox manner informed someone that he did so to "pi** off the tartan police." Several traditionalists heard this, and over a couple of pints, formed the SCTP.

The SCTP was disbanded several years ago, rather than face amalgamation. The constables of the force are still only duty, ever vigilant and never seen.

    Regards,

    Todd
