Those are great looking hose. I ordered a pair in Hamilton red and cannot wait for them to arrive.

Those are incredible. I'm generally not a fan of patterned hose, but these are so close to the tartan while, as you note, adding a few unexpected accents. Gorgeous! Well done!
Enjoy them in good health!

I don't get envious of many things, but your hose are incredibly nice...

Rex,
Those are just the cat's pajamas!
If those are representative of Josh's work I may just have to take the plunge for my XMTS kilt.
Cheers

Whoever cuts fabric first, let's send Josh a swatch for the prototype.

Hey gang-
I'm trying right now to see if I can work out a special for XMTS diced and argyll. I'll know by tomorrow, but it looking like it would have to be a batch order-Please PM me with questions pertaining to this so as to be fair to paying sponsors-Josh

I didn't mention it in my review of the USAK Auld Lang Syne kilt, but I did not receive any scraps with my finished kilt, and that was a slight drawback for exactly this reason - I think it's good to have extra for color matching like this. I can't tell you how many times the swatch I carried with me saved me from buying the wrong shirt, for instance.
There is necessarily waste in the construction of any kilt. I think it should be mandatory that all kilts are delivered with at least a few of the leftover bits and pieces.
Thanks in part to you, Barb, I was able to get such excellent service from another artisan.
Best,
Rex.

Tee hee, "cat's pajamas."
And yes, I can understand how having a swatch of one's tartan would be very useful; perhaps might even be worth budgeting to have an extra yard if the kiltmaker is willing...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
