Would really like to help with this important issue, but to do a good job probably should review a few dozen candid pics of your lovely wife in order to understand her opinions....

Reminds me years ago when NBC said it was Proud as a Peacock. So should you.

My wife gives me flak when I don't wear a kilt. Guess she loves my inner peacock!

Well, I think PastorSteve has it right.....
Happy Wife, Happy Life, certainly words to live by.
It's one of my main mottos!!!!
Take it slow, and keep her comfortable about herself, your love, your attention... then release the inner peacock slowly.

I Think I'm a "peacock in training." My wife chalks this off to another one of my obsessions. She is something of a introvert, and I honestly think she likes the attention I get because she is standing next to me and a little rubs off.

There's been times now when someone makes a comment about my kilt and my wife says, "Oh, I didn't even notice you have it on." She always did like them, though.

I wonder if that will ever happen... (sorry thinking out loud here)

My GF noticed me specifically because I'm a peacock. 'Tis the nature of the beast!
I'll rock my shiny, pleated, woolen feathers anytime. My woman loves it, so should yours!
You're with her, after all. She should want you to look good.

What Ron said. We really need to see a lot of photos of your lovely wife in order to be able to help you with this dilemma.
So, let's see, she's lovely, built, great salt-and-pepper hair (Lord how I love that look), yep. We need photos of her if we are to give you any real guidance.
You can show picture of you, too.

Make sure to get a nice long peacock feather to put in your glengary. That should get her "hackles" up.

I absolutely agree with this. A perfect way for your lady to take center stage again at least in her own eyes, is to join you in wearing kilts.
I've posted this picture many times before on this site, and I know for a fact that my lady is always the center of attention in this picture, and although I get more female attention when I am wearing my kilt than when I don't, she gets more attention in general when she wears one too, so it all evens out.
Like davedove said though, there is no way a kilted man can outshine an attractive woman. Period.
