Greetings from a Michigan Scot

Hello,

It is nice to belong to a group of like minded people and I hope I will learn much from all of you. Currently I do not own or have ever worn a Kilt, but that is about to change. I plan on attending "The Gathering" in Scotland this July and would like to join the parade of Clans. So, I have many questions. Since I am new to this you can imagin my total lack of knowledge. I want to purchase a Kilt to wear in the parade but I am not sure how long it takes to order and receive a Kilt. Where do I go to get one that is of good quailty and reasonable price? Is there a good Kilt maker in Michigan or if not how do I get measured for a kilt? What accessories do I need to be a respectible Scot in the Parade? How do you put on a kilt? (Sill question I guess but never having worn one .....) Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appricated. Only 69 days to "The Gathering"
