this was my first kilt that never was it was a Chisholm hunting tartan kilt that i owned for about 2 days
to cut a long story short it was bought separate and all the other gear hired ,the kilt was bought on a pay 30% now and the rest later when the time came to pay the rest of the kilt up i couldnt afford it and let the kilt shop know they said no problem .....so i went back after 2 months ..the ejjits in the shop sold it
apparently it was a mix up and they thought i only hired it for the weekend months before and they charged me for the hire of the gear only they never noted i had called and so sold the kilt basically a few weeks before i found out

its taken me another 9 years to get my Chisholm ancient hunting kilt which I'm proud of the one in this 2nd picture

P.s......the cream wool socks are my partners grandfathers socks and not wearing them would be a insult to his memory i reckon (thats my excuse and i stick by it :P)

well I think they just dont look too great with most kilt outfits... a lot of people see them as "standard" though. I suppose thats the mindset you're battling against!

Hello GMan, how are you today.
My first kilt was Hunting Stewart, not my choice, it was the school Uniform.

My first kilt was a SportKilt Original in Black Watch. Not what I really wanted, but nobody makes an entry-level kilt in Elliot (ancient or modern), so it's what I ended up with.

The first kilt I obtained, like many have done before, was in the Government Sett (Black Watch).

Going to be wearing it today.

Lennox District tartan. Different sporran, shirt, kilt hose, and shoes, of course, since the photo was taken 6 years ago.
