thought I'd dip my toe into the ether! I am in sunny Brittany, France and wondering if anyone out there knows of any events in Europe where a Scottish girl with a mobile Celtique bar and pie shop can go? I have just started a wee events company which specialises in Scottish beer, whisky and pies for festivals, Highland Games, Beer Festivals. Just recovering from the 10 Interceltique Festival, Lorient but looking to 2010. I have tried searching for events in Germany and Spain, but my lack of the language seems to have stumped me.
Can anyone recommend fun festivals, games, beer parties where I may be able to ply my wares! I will of course get kilted up!
Well we usually have a huge celtic festival that lasts about 3/4 days every year on Lewis in the old Castle grounds (about july). Try getting in touch with the Heb fest admin guys in the isle of lewis Lewis They have a web site akthough I can not recall it but it will be probably hebridean Heb fest or some variant.. A lot of drinking and feeding with lots of international tourist around.
