I'd say go for the wet suit as well, I can't believe I'm saying it but there you go, enjoy life enjoy the ocean I mean you are that close to it.

Well for a bunch of kiltoholics I'm surprised how many of you would urge me toward a wetsuit!

I just went down to the grocery store and cashed in my loose change in one of those machines to see how much I really had. My total was about $45. Not quite enough for the suit I had been eyeing but I thought I would figure out what my size was and then wait a week or two.

So I went down to Play it Again Sports to do a bit more research and found a used but perfect condition half wetsuit in my size for $29.99

It seemed like a good deal so I bought it.

The brand is "Body Glove"

I came home and tried it on and it was a good fit. Standing there in front of the mirror I couldn't help but pick up my new boogie board and speculate if this might be considered an early mid life crisis

I do know that it will be fun to start bugging Sinbad and Xena with "When can we go the beach? I want to go to the beach? Can we go to the beach?"
(this is what they often do to me and my lovely F-H.C.A.G.)

You forgot a wetsuit "pro": Neoprene is sexy. So I propose you try a well-fitting one on in the company of your ravishing wife and let her decide.

I had not thought of this!

I fear we will get to see Jamie in a full body cast after he breaks a lot of bones trying to boogie board. I am, after all, a good deaL older than Panache, but I do know that at 41 I did not bounce the way I did at 21. He sounds like a good candidate for a broken hip.

...With all that being said...make sure your suit and fins don't make you look like a seal! And if you wonder why...go down to the little lighthouse museum on the overlook point and check out the board with the great big teeth marks in it. We love having you on the forum, so avoid those big whites

How does one "not look like a seal" ?

Finally, remember not to mix-up language conventions. "Dude" and "gnarly" don't see quite as appropriate at highland games

Does this work the other way as well?

I'm worried that I might seem out of place saying:

"Excuse me Sir, were you planning on taking yon upcoming wave? If not I should be quite happy to take this opportunity to take advantage of it."

$15 left....hmmm..... accessories...neoprene pith helmet!

I say get the wet suit.

You will definitely want one for the Winter boogie boarding season. And I'm anxious to see what kilt and sporran go with a wet suit.

A neophrene sporran a good place to keep shark repellent. Get the wetsuit and the boggie board sporran...lol

What you really need is a warmer ocean. Then you could swim, board, surf, fish, snorkel, and whatever else, and have the new sporran, too.

I'm on board with this. There are some lovely islands in the Caribbean that could use a little Panache. ith:


Barring that then yes, get the wetsuit.
