No tweed kilt.....yet. But, here is a recent post of a Harris tweed jacket and waistcoat.

Ooo, that's interesting. Don't think I've ever seen that done. What I always liked about the look of the Kingussie was the central box pleat, and its absence may be the reason that the reversed never struck my fancy.
Do you happen to have a picture of one of these creations being worn? If so, I'd love to have a look.

I'm not sure that it's actually a Ferguson Britt sporran belt (don't think it is), but if it's not, it looks to be set up the same way, more or less.
Quite sorry... back to tweed, now.

would work for a box-pleat job.

Is the link. She has 31 different weaves listed at present, all four yard lengths and listed at or about $63 US.
Have seen some very nice tweed kilts among the lot of you who have posted.
Fide et Fortitudine, aye!

Been in contact with the seller (or weaver, as the case may be), as there were two that I desperately wanted from her list. Given the plan was a kilt from each, I checked with her on the weight, and she was kind enough to let me know that they are all Featherweight, at 216/240 g/M, or around 8 oz.
