LOL; I happened to go see the film in a kilt [not knowing beforehand about the kilt scenes] and then staggered into HT afterwords and the saleswoman [who was all but drooling over the kilt] was bemoaning that they did not get any "kilts" in for St Patrick's day and even the skirts did not have proper peats [or length [her words not mine ]].
As to the presentation of the kilt in the movie, at least it was roughly the correct length, the pleats were in the back, it appeared to be a tartan other than Black Watch/ Stewart [muted medium green/ sage tones] and he was wearing a sporran [albeit too short for a horsehair]. For a parody/ satire/ dream sequence I figure that is doing pretty well
