I especially like the way that our tartan wallpaper bleeds into the edges of the photograph -- would like to see that kept if/when a new photo is posted, assuming the effect is suitable.

Would it be completely retrograde of me to say that I think the current photo is perfect, not merely the sine qua non, but the ne plus ultra? Cheers!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

I quite like the photo but think that lots of people in their own tartan would look good as well. Or maybe nice scenery with the blending in we currently have of the tartan round the edges?
Doesn’t Godwin’s law state that the thread should be closed when invoked? It’s been a while since I read it and at quarter to three in the morning I’m not going to start now.

DarkIslander,
Those are some really nice photos.
But when we crop them to fit in the space we have I think we would loose so much that you would not like them as much.
Here is your photo cropped to fit in the available space.

What do you think?

A little phallic. As this is a "kilt" forum rather than a "Scotland" forum, and as much as Scotland is a very ruggedly beautiful place, should it not show kilts?
Not that I shall pull out a certain picture of me in a black leather kilt that so many others request to see...

Just for you Jock (you do realize that in a 100 years this will be considered tradition kilted attire).

Please note, no flat caps or white hose.
