Which implies that it also doesn't look "too good"... ...hmmm... Really, a chap is better off with a simple day wear jacket and, if he needs something a bit dressier, a black Argyll jacket. If two jackets are beyond one's financial abilities, then I'd suggest it is probably better to be slightly over dressed during the day, than under dressed in the evening.

I only wear argyll jackets, I have a green one for dress, and Harris tweed for casual. I quite often wear the tweed with a pair of jeans. Gives me the highland look without a kilt. Great pics thanks for posting. Dub.
