I would like to see vendors who state that their kilts come with 2 straps give a box for the 3rd one or vis-versa even if their is an extra charge. For PV kilts
state whether they are hemmed or not and the option to provide same. Length measurements from the navel to knee location are common but what is going to be the total length provided i.e. is there any rise. Do I have to wear the kilt lower for a casual kilt when I don't want to. Don't take away the belt loops unless that is an option too.
Another consideration is if your getting close to the next hip size then have the option of another yard when ordering a 4 yd. kilt.

I'd like DixieCat to adjust her MyBestFit scanner to automatically measure folks for a kilt. Last kilt I had made, I measured myself eleventy-two ways and still ended up with a kilt that only fits if I pull it as tight as the belts will go (it would be too big if I lose weight at all).

I've thought about having pleats run in the opposite direction for us in the Americas so drivers don't wrinkle their wool - but what if they are passengers!
No offense (wishful thinking I'm sure) but isn't there a contradiction there? People want more PV, or buy/wear MUGs in preference to traditional wool kilts...and then wonder why the woolen mills are going tips up?
I see your point. I think I will change my wish to less expensive wool.

Kilts will continue to evolve as long as the youth see them as a way to make a statement about who they are. Us older guys just want to look sharp and hide the gut.
How about cell phone or tablet pc pockets? Is there a way to carry a tablet in a kilt? There certainly isn't with p@nt$!
I tend to think there is really no need for a sporran, waistcoat or jacket when pockets can be included in the kilt itself...that is what makes it a contemporary kilt!
I'd like to see Catherine Zeta-Jones in a mini kilt! That's my first choice next to a cold shower.
Now I'm confused. Why would I want a cold shower after seeing Catherine Zeta-Jones in a mini-kilt. I'd rather ensure her pleats don't need repressing, , followed by ; but my wife would likely kill me.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.
