That was in HP&Goblet of Fire (#4): a wizard is trying (and failing) to dress like a non-magic person: he wears a kilt and a poncho. Later in the book Mad-Eye Moody wears a kilt also.

I just got back from seeing the movie- it's great- and I never even saw a kilt in it, even though I was looking, in the first scene with Dumbledore's brother.

CGR and I went and saw the film again, and we both saw the kilt. It was a little hard to see because Aberforth was wearing a robe over it so you could only see it from the front. Thanks to this thread, we knew to look for it.

I could see it a little later when he joined the battle for Hogwarts a couple of times... but just flashes of the kilt

just saw the movie, but didnt see the kilt as i was unsure who was going to be wearing it. but i heard that there are kilt(s) in each movie?? is this true and does any one have a list of the the scenes or characters who wear them??

oh yes - Aberforth...I very much noticed that at the end in Hogwarts...it's quite visible then at the final shot as they pull away.

Not sure of my timelines but I think by then the reveal about family (hmm spoiler but it's been kind of revealed in this thread already!) was after 5 was made?
