I really like your pictures, Chris. They make me want to go to Scotland more and more.
I've noticed there are no houses built on the banks of the lochs. Is that due to laws/regulations, or practicality? On our lakes here in North Carolina, people want to build their houses as close to the water as they can get them.

There are strict planning laws to stop urban sprawl in the highlands and some of the lochs are used as water supplies so there are sewage issues. Most of the area around here is in the Loch Lomand and The Trossachs national park so building new properties is almost impossible.

Thanks for another stunning set of pics Chris. The photos from Rob Roy's grave brought back happy memories of visiting there with my late father and late wife.
I've seen that Husky seaplane at Oban Airport, it came in to refuel one day while I was there.
