Re: Kilted Dating Forum?
It might not be the place but it was a sweet suggestion nonetheless.
But good to see you back Sister!

Hmm. 'Met She Who Must Be Obeyed (the USA version) at a widows' group. 23 years sucessfully married and she hates the concept of her husband and kilts. Nope, a kilt forum would not have been a good place for us to e-meet.

Re: Kilted Dating Forum?
My wife probably would not have found me on a kilt forum, but I have worn her thin, she bought me a new sporran for Christmas. That being said, I think the kilt is a poor reason to either date or not date someone, so I can not see a forum area that would likely bring the wrong element here. Now since we have the social groups on the site, and they are relatively hidden unless you are a member already, perhaps those with questions in this area could form one of those social groups and use it for whatever they need to within forum guidelines of course.

Re: Kilted Dating Forum?
There is at least one other website which I know of which already fulfils this role.
It is a Scottish based social networking site which overlaps to some extent with Xmarksthescot in its forum topics and is open to people living in Scotland, people of Scottish descent and anyone who loves Scotland. Quite a few Xmarkers are also members of this other forum. It was recommended to me by a USA based member of my clan society when I began living on my own two and a half years ago. Since joining at that time I have made many new friends, both male and female and have received several approaches from lady members living both inside and outside of Scotland who expressed an interest in dating a kilt wearing Scotsman.
I feel that there is no need for Xmarksthescot to offer a dating service and I would question whether it would be successful, given the relatively small proportion of our members who are female.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
