I've looked at hose like these before: Penrith Basketweave Shooting Sock - Regal Red
, but my question is I wear Macdonell of Keppoch in Ancient colours (orangish-red w/lovat greens & blues). Would these hose go w/ something like that, or should I really care?
That's a question that I'm considering too w/ the bright red of the OP's "Santa" hose & my kilt's colours. Matt? Anyone?

Some people wouldn't care, but me personally, I would not wear bright red hose with an orange-toned kilt. To my eye, though, the red in the hose you just linked too looks more orange to me, so it would probably look fine.

For what it's worth, the Rannoch hose offered by the STM gift shop come in a nice, warm orange color.

Well the hose arrived today and they are a very good Red. Best of all after I send them a e-mail asking about the heavy shipping charges they reduced the shipping by 35 pounds.

Well done. Still an excessive charge even with the refund though
