I am pleased with all the positive comments and I couldn't resist popping on to say thank you, and express how proud I am of my son as well,
As for this:

I really have only one thing to say...what's wrong with looking like a girl?
To clarify, I don't understand where the insult is, unless you are one of those misogynists who thinks women are inferior, in which case I don't really have anything else to say...

I haven’t posted much, but feel constrained to comment on Panache’s son.
It appears that the sense of style runs in the family. Sinbad, like his father, shares the ability to carry off, with flair and, well, panache, things with which we ordinary mortal kilt wearers have difficulty, such as, say, white kilt hose.
Well done. I’m glad the dance was fun.

When I started school and was getting bullied about my hair I almost decided to cut it. But my Dad told me that if they made me cut my hair they probably would find something else to bully me for. So if I wanted to cut it that was fine but I should cut it because I wanted to, not them. I obviously decided not to cut it!
Also about my hair and me looking like a girl.

The young man definitely has the style, flair, and fortitude of both his parents, in addition to that of his own, and two parents who should be extremely proud to have raised such a fine example of youthful manhood in carnate. He has a huge head start on most guys his age.
Well done you, Sinbad, as well as you jamie and Star.

Well done Sinbad, you looked very smartly dressed for going to your dance. I'm glad you had a great evening!
