Yes sir, it is the Chinese Scottish tartan STA#6807. It is a truly BEAUTIFUL sett. My lasses tartan, kilted skirt is made from 10oz worsted wool and was purchased directly from Strathmore. It was quite affordable, though I don't remember exactly how much I paid for it...
Here are a couple images of other lasses wearing it, borrowed from tartanspirit.com and designed by Joyce Young:

Another rather attractive tartan your lass may like to wear, Colin, is Taiwan Scottish http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar...aspx?ref=10371
The Scottish Register of Tartans is not particularly helpful when it states that the design commemorates the founding in 1911 of the Republic of China, and then adds in brackets (Taiwan) – the date is, of course, the year the Chinese Empire was formally dissolved and replaced by a republic on the mainland.
The republic has, as we know, been based on Taiwan since 1949, but it would seem that the tartan is there to be worn by any Chinese person (or anyone else) who would like to do so.

Mike

That is, as you say, also an attractive tartan. Unfortunately, it is restricted "Exclusively designed by Kinloch Anderson for the Taiwanese Community in Scotland. Restricted availability, please contact Kinloch Anderson regarding use." Being that my lass and I are in Canada, I guess she won't be wearing that one any time soon... we visited Taiwan in the spring, but that probably doesn't count. Lovely country.

Ouch! And there I was thinking (having not read the notes in such detail) that it was Chinese Scottish that was restricted!

Quite right. Tartan is tartan. I just wish my missus would wear some (real tartan, that is).

She wears what she wishes but she tries not to clash too much. But with her beauty, anything she wears matches what I'm wearing.

At the McLain Celtic Festival in Carlisle PA my bride of 35 years wore,
I had on a black vest, white shirt and Cunningham tartan kilt. This is the first time in 35 years we did the matchy outfit thing.
I made the skirt and finished it the night before the festival.

Very nice work and lovely Mrs. My wife and I have not matched...yet. She is looking at making a dress using the MacDonald modern tartan.
